Star Sports is operated by Star Racing Limited.

Companies House records show Ben Keith controlling at least 75% of Star Racing Limited.

PricedUp does not use the same operating company. It sits under Off Course Bookmakers Limited and has its own UK Gambling Commission licence.

But Companies House also records Ben Keith as controlling at least 75% of Off Course Bookmakers Limited.

That gives us a clear structure:

Star Sports → Star Racing Limited → Ben Keith

PricedUp → Off Course Bookmakers Limited → Ben Keith

The licensed operators are different, but ultimate control is the same.

That is why we consider PricedUp a genuine Star Sports sister bookmaker rather than simply another site using similar sportsbook technology.

Planet Sport Bet Has an Even More Direct Link

Planet Sport Bet also has its own licensed operator, Planet Bet Limited.

The difference is that Companies House lists Star Racing Limited itself as controlling more than 50% of Planet Bet Limited’s shares and voting rights.

So the company operating Star Sports directly holds majority control of the company behind Planet Sport Bet.

That is a much stronger relationship than simply using the same betting platform.

We therefore count Planet Sport Bet as a current Star Sports sister site.

Why Do DragonBet and BetWright Keep Appearing on Star Sports Lists?

This comes from Playbook Engineering.

Star Racing Limited controls Playbook Engineering, which provides sportsbook technology to a number of UK bookmakers.

That creates a wider group of sites with a technical connection to Star Sports.

But using Playbook does not automatically mean Star Racing owns the bookmaker.

For example, DragonBet and BetWright have appeared in many Star Sports sister-site lists because of their platform relationship. We have not found the same ownership evidence for them that exists for PricedUp and Planet Sport Bet.

So we classify them as Playbook-related bookmakers, not direct Star Sports sisters.

This distinction is useful because two bookmakers can look almost identical behind the scenes while still being owned by different companies.

What About AK Bets?

AK Bets does have a real historical Star Racing connection.

The UK Gambling Commission record for Star Racing still shows akbets.bet, but the domain is now marked inactive under that licence.

AK Bets has since moved into a separate operating structure.

That means it should not be presented as a current Star Sports sister bookmaker simply because older records link the two.

The same Star Racing licence history also includes McBookie and NE Bet as inactive domains.

These connections matter historically, but they are not the same as the active relationships with PricedUp and Planet Sport Bet.

NRG Bet Was Also Connected, but It Has Closed

NRG Bet had a stronger ownership connection than many Playbook brands.

Ben Keith became a person with significant control of Sharedbet Limited, the company behind NRG Bet.

NRG has since stopped operating, and its UKGC domains are now inactive.

So it belongs in the former Star Sports group rather than on a list of bookmakers you can use today.

Does Star Sports Share Its Licence With Another Active Bookmaker?

No.

The current UK Gambling Commission record for Star Racing Limited, account 9177, shows Star Sports as the active trading name, with active domains carrying the Star Sports brand.

This is why looking only at one licence can be misleading.

PricedUp and Planet Sport Bet sit under separate licensed operators, but the ownership records show the relationship that the licence page alone does not.

Are Star Sports, PricedUp and Planet Sport Bet Accounts Shared?

No. Treat them as separate bookmakers.

Even where companies share ownership, they can still have separate:

• account registrations;
• identity checks;
• deposits and withdrawals;
• bonus rules;
• account restrictions;
• customer support.

Being sister companies does not mean your balance or login carries from one bookmaker to another.

Which Star Sports Sister Sites Should You Count?

Based on the current ownership and regulatory records, the clearest active Star Sports sister sites are:

PricedUp — separately licensed, but controlled by the same person who controls Star Racing Limited.

Planet Sport Bet — separately licensed, but majority controlled directly by Star Racing Limited.

DragonBet, BetWright and several other bookmakers belong to the wider Playbook network, while AK Bets, McBookie and NRG Bet have historical connections.
